The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) has confirmed a new regional director and recognised a long-serving member with Life Membership at its Annual General Meeting, held on 25th November 2025. The organisation said the AGM provides an annual opportunity to reflect on achievements, review challenges and update members on its strategic direction.
REINZ said the AGM is an important forum for members to examine the past year’s work, consider ongoing initiatives to support the real estate profession and ensure the organisation’s focus continues to align with industry needs. It also gives members the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback and engage directly with the Board to help shape REINZ’s future direction.
A new director has been appointed for Region Three, which covers Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu/Whanganui, Taranaki and Wellington. Following the resignation of Andy Stewart, effective 31st May 2025, members voted to elect Holly Fordham (AREINZ) as the successful candidate. Her appointment was formally announced at the AGM.
Life Membership was also awarded to Mark Sumich (AREINZ), recognising his long-standing service and contribution to REINZ. “We’re delighted to welcome Holly Fordham, recently elected as our new Region Three Director, a role that reflects the trust and confidence of our members and the Board,” says REINZ chief executive Lizzy Ryley. “I’d also like to congratulate Mark Sumich on being awarded Life Membership – a considerable achievement that is voted on and approved in recognition of outstanding contribution. It’s fantastic to have you both as part of our community, and it’s truly wonderful to see REINZ celebrating the dedication and achievements of our members.”
