AMI Insurance has won the Claims Team of the Year award at the 2025 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards, hosted last night by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
The insurer said the recognition reflects its commitment to delivering strong claims outcomes and supporting customers through challenging times.
Stephannie Ferris, executive general manager claims, said the award acknowledges the work of AMI’s nationwide claims teams. “This award is a reflection of the empathy, agility and professionalism our claims teams bring to every customer interaction. We’re proud to be recognised for the way we support New Zealanders when they need us most.” AMI said the accolade highlights its customer-first approach, innovation in claims handling and ability to support communities following major events.
Ferris said the recognition is a tribute to the dedication of AMI’s people. “We’re incredibly proud of our people,” she said. “This award is a testament to the care our AMI claims teams show every day. It’s an honour to be recognised by our industry peers and we’re thrilled to celebrate this recognition with our people and customers.” The insurer said it would continue to invest in claims capability to support its customer promise.
